Holly Payne is a writer, producer, activist and improvisor from San Francisco, California. Holly got her start in entertainment at the age of 15 when she began doing improvisational theatre in SF in the late 1980's. Bitten by the performing bug, she went on to pursue stand up comedy at the age of 17, and has toured the U.S., the United Kingdom and Ireland. Her very first paid onscreen acting job was as the iconic metallic lips of MTV's Liquid Television in the early 1990's. While working in front of the camera, Holly realized her passion was behind the camera, and moved to Boston to major in Film & Television production at Emerson College. With a film & tv education under her belt, she returned to SF and found employment as a video technician and Assistant Editor. Not satisfied with the limited entertainment industry job opportunities in San Francisco, she dropped everything and headed for Hollywood. Since moving to LA, Holly has worked on 'Space Ghost Coast to Coast', 'Nerd Hunter 3004' with Bob Odenkirk, 'The ABC's of Death' and most recently co-produced the highly acclaimed documentary, "The Death of "Superman Lives", What Happened?' with producing partner, Jon Schnepp. Payne and Schnepp are now in development on a brand new series for Comic Con HQ which will be officially announced in May. In addition to her film work, for 4 years Holly has brought A-list talent to Stan Lee's Comikaze, and was responsible for organizing the first Mad TV reunion in 20 years. She's also the creator of the longest running career girl geek panel at Comikaze, known as The Professionals. Later this year she'll be taking The Professionals on tour internationally. Holly Payne lives in Hollywood, California.
